Note of
disavowal regarding that thing called “anti-tech”.

The
purpose of this brief text is to publicly express that, from now on, Último
Reducto totally dissociates himself from any group or individual that calls their initiatives, activities, ideas or themselves “anti-tech(nology)”.[1]
On other occasions UR has already publicly stated his disagreement with the use of the label “anti-tech”.[2]
Based on the experience of all
these past years, UR considers that nothing
worthwhile for the advancement of the cause against the technoindustrial system
for the sake of wild Nature will come out of the self-called “anti-tech”
people. So, from now on, UR prefers to keep his distance and avoid all collaboration or contact with them, and make it
very clear that, even though sometimes there may be certain similarities
between UR’s rhetoric and that of some of the self-called “anti-tech” people,
UR has anything to do with that motley crew.
UR will
just follow his own path that is totally independent of the paths of the
self-called “anti-tech” folk.
Note
that the repudiation is not towards the cause against the technoindustrial
system for the sake of wild Nature, but only towards those people or initiatives who use the label
“anti-tech” to call themselves. UR is not abandoning his commitment to this cause, only making it clear that he is neither “anti-tech” nor hereinafter does
he want to be publicly associated with anyone who calls himself such.

the last years before his death (since he wrote Anti-Tech Revolution and
adopted the term “anti-tech” for self-designation back in the first half of the
second decade of this century) and the rest of those who use this label for
self-designation (whether they are Kaczynski’s followers or not).

Nota de desvinculación respecto de esa
cosa llamada “antitec”

El objeto de este breve texto es expresar
públicamente que, de ahora en adelante, Último Reducto se desvincula
totalmente de todo grupo o individuo que denomine “antitec(nología)” a sus
iniciativas, actividades, ideas o a sí mismo.[1]
Ya en otras ocasiones UR ha manifestado públicamente su desacuerdo con el uso de la etiqueta “antitec”.[2]
Basándose en la experiencia de todos estos años, UR considera que de los autodenominados “antitecs” no va a salir
nada que merezca la pena para el avance de la causa en contra del sistema
tecnoindustrial por respeto a la Naturaleza salvaje. Así que, en adelante, UR
prefiere mantenerse a distancia y evitar toda colaboración y contacto con ellos, y dejar bien claro que, a pesar de que
a veces pueda haber ciertas semejanzas entre el discurso de UR y el de algunos
de los autodenominados “antitecs”, UR no tiene nada que ver con toda esa
hetereogenea tropa.
UR simplemente seguirá su propio camino
que es totalmente independiente de los caminos seguidos por los autodenominados
“antitecs”.
Nótese que el repudio no es hacia la causa
en contra del sistema tecnoindustrial por respeto a la Naturaleza salvaje, sino
sólo hacia la gente e iniciativas que usan la etiqueta “antitec” para autodenominarse. UR no
está abandonando su compromiso con dicha causa, sólo dejando claro que ni es
“antitec” ni, de ahora en adelante, quiere ser relacionado públicamente con
nadie que se autodenomine como tal.
